Unit Marketing Director for Chick-fil-A 405 at Jefferson

The Unit Marketing Director will be responsible for business and public relations for Chick-fil-A 405 at Jefferson within a 5-10 mile radius from the restaurant. The UMD is hired by and reports directly to the owner/operator of Chick-fil-A 405 at Jefferson. This is a very exciting role and is a combination of marketing, event planning and hosting for large parties. The overarching goal is to introduce the brand of Chick-fil-A to our community through several platforms and exponentially increase sales. They may include on-site events, off-site events, and social media.

UMD responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the management team to create a marketing plan according to sales, purchasing trends and social media audience by analyzing territory/market’s potential
  • Creating and implementing your own marketing plan. The UMD will have full control of creating strategies for any marketing ideas in order to increase sales, social media buzz and foot traffic within budget
  • Keeping a detailed record of all marketing expenses and profits
  • Monitoring daily sales and able to report research to the management team every week and coordinate sale efforts (plan of action) to team members
  • Monitor and Analyze negative (undesirable) sales trends and implement action to increase sales in particular problem area.
  • Work with the Operations Director to schedule team members with any production needs for any and all marketing activities within labor budget (including the scheduling of the cow/mascot)
  • Establish, build and maintain positive public relationship within the community
  • Maintaining and continuing partnership with event coordinators who have been successful in the past
  • Curating specific promotions within restaurant and team members
  • Fielding fundraising and donation request within budget
  • Working in Operations of the business, when needed (about 10 hours a week if full-time)

  • Hosting on-site events: Daddy Daughter Date Night, Breakfast with Santa, Cow Appreciation Day, Free Breakfast Week
  • Connect and share our Chick-fil-A story at Chamber events and other civic organizations as a Brand Ambassador
  • Showcasing the team, products and promotions on social media
  • Host “Business of the Week” by collecting business cards and Catering a free Luncheon to their “break room”
  • Sampling seasonal menu items in store
  • Distributing redemption coupons/cards at community events
  • Distributing food and catering menus to local businesses
  • Passing out “Welcome bags” to developing neighborhood apartments and living spaces
  • Setting up cross-promotions with school programs like “Spirit Night or other Chick-fil-A community-wide events
  • Creating an incentive or contest for team members to sell promotional items: “Top Milk Shake Sellers”

Competitive Job Characteristics:

  • Open availability and much needed flexibility to work around business needs (Saturdays and evenings
  • Advance outside sales or previous marketing experience is a plus.
  • Artistic and creative talents: graphic design, photo shop, web developing, handwriting/calligraphy and drawing

Requirements:

  • 18+ years
  • Driver’s License and insured with clean driving record. Use of a personal vehicle is required for community-related work. Mileage will be reimbursed. A Catering Vehicle will be available for all other events.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
