About this job
Provides support and leadership in performance improvement, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and risk management to Medical Staff, Administration, Department Managers, hospital staff.
Serves as a resource within Sutter Coast Hospital to the following publicly reported and/or mandated clinical initiatives:
* Center of Medicare Service (CMS) Core Measures
* JCAHO Oryx Measures
* JCAHO Required Reviews
* Restraint
* Blood Usage
* Code Blue
* Procedural Sedation
* Leapfrog Safety Initiatives
As a resource, assures appropriate data collection, analysis and reporting of noted measures, and communicates changes in definitions, methodology, and mandatory requirements to regional Quality Management team members.
Education, Licensure and Experience:
* High School diploma required and Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of equivalent education and experience
* Licensed Vocation Nurse preferred
* Certified Coding Specialist preferred
* Proficient in medical terminology
* Two years experience in hospital setting preferred
* Experience in data management in an acute-care health setting
* Ability to review and abstract data from the medical record
* Ability to work with Microsoft Office, Midas, PC Database applications, word processing, desktop publishing, and demonstrated skills in database management
