Senior Accountant

We need a Senior Accountant to join our finance department and take over the major reporting and reconciliation duties for our company. We’re a growing restaurant development and investment company. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing key financial reporting aspects of multiple restaurant concepts. We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas. The successful applicant will have a basic knowledge of how restaurants are run and will have prior experience with financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Controller’s attention
• Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Assist with the annual external financial statement audit
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance
• Basic treasury functions
• Managing receivables from restaurant house accounts

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required (Masters Preferred)
* 2+ years' experience in general accounting
* Experience with general ledger systems
* Advanced knowledge of Excel
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
