On behalf of RTI International, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking self-motivated and approachable individuals to work on a government-sponsored research study being conducted in the Covington area. The Healthy Adolescent Development (HAD) Sleep Study is being conducted on behalf of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).  If you’re interested in meeting people from diverse backgrounds, motivated by the challenge of working independently, and passionate about the health and well-being of your community, this may be the job for you.

Field Interviewers are responsible for:

  • Making in-person contact with our long-term now young adult participants and their parents to reintroduce the study and obtain participation to complete the survey.
  • Collecting confidential information and conducting HAD Sleep Study interviews with our young adult and parent participants.
  • Completing computer and paper brain games with our participants.
  • Completing sleep diary, actigraphy, cortisol activities, and urine testing with our participants.
  • Reading questions verbatim from a computer screen and paper documents.
  • Working a fluid schedule of approximately 20-35 hours a week, mostly evenings and weekends.
  • Successfully carrying up to 10 pounds of project-related equipment to and from interview locations.

Ideal Candidates have the following attributes:

  • Attend and successfully complete a mandatory 2-part training in Convington across a two week period conducted in late October and mid-November 2017.
  • Enjoy meeting and working with our study participants.
  • Positive, self-motivated to work independently to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communications skills both over phone and in person.
  • Ability to organize and keep track of of project equipment and materials.
  • Flexibility to contact and interview participants around their availability.
  • Reliable personal automobile available for business use.
  • Passionate about your community and believe in the positive impact your work will have.
