Job Summary/Essential Duties:

* Functions within the scope of practice of an Emergency Medical Technician as defined within state regulations.

* Maintains strict patient/client confidentiality.

* Works collaboratively with Paramedic, Ballpark personnel, and Emergency Medical Providers.

* Maintains professional and positive attitude at all times to staff and community.

* Follows all policies and procedures of Midlands Hospital and Alegent Health.

* Maintains appropriate stock and equipment inventories at ballpark.

* Maintains a customer-service, patient-focused environment.

8. Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

* Previous experience as a EMT is desirable

* Previous clinical experience in an Emergency Department or hospital setting is desirable.

Education/Licensure

Required:

EMT license.

BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR, PRO, must say "Professional Level-with AED", and American Heart Association: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
