Shift Supervisor 

Job Summary:

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing support to the General Manager in the successful day-to-day operations of the store. This includes providing the leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention and relations, guest relations, quality assurance, cleanliness and sanitation.


Essential Job Duties:

- Leads the store team in successful day-to-day operations.
- Ensures that all employees are properly trained and performance feedback is provided on a regular basis.
- Works with General Manager to ensure adequate staffing and training needs are met.
- Provides coaching and counseling to employees in a timely manner.
- Maintains courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Assists with completing and processing store reports such as food and labor, daily line up report, inventory, Sysco orders, bank deposits, Bite Squad, daily sales.
- Provides clear direction and ensures that employees are kept abreast of corporate communications, policy changes, etc.
- Assists with building sales and manages store budget including cost control related labor and cost of goods sold. 
- Assists with controlling proper inventory and purchases materials through approved vendors in a timely manner and in according with corporate policy.
- Ensures reconciliation of the each register is done as required and banking deposits are made in a timely manner..
- Assists with administrative duties including inventory, food ordering, proper cash handling, etc.
- Manages daily and weekly cleaning of the line, dining room, restroom, kitchen and patio.
- Possesses strong understanding of individual role as well as team dynamics and the importance of quality assurance throughout the store and company. 
- Acts as General Manager (Manager on Duty) when General Manager is not present in the store.
- Presents recommendations/suggestions to Area/General Manager as needed.


Qualifications:

- A minimum of One (1) Year Restaurant Experience Required (Knowledge of Front of the House and Back of the House preferred)
- Supervisory Experience Preferred
- High School Diploma Required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to discern when written versus verbal communication is more effective and/or more appropriate.
- Must be computer literate and have knowledge of Windows environment using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have a professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have ability to integrate individual work efforts to meet team objectives, processes and goals.
- Exhibits strong drive for results and success.
- Ability to self-motivate and self-direct.
- Strong Time Management and Organizational Skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making and reporting issues.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with employees and customers.
- Resolves customer incidents and works to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have stamina to work 50 -- 60 hours per week.
