Traffic Control/Security - Winter Seasonal - Keystone Resort - Full-time / Part-time

Keystone Base Area Operations is looking for outgoing, friendly, guest service-oriented individuals to join our team this winter. In this position you will prepare the base area in anticipation of the day’s challenges. Applicants must be early risers willing to mitigate safety issues which include shoveling, salt-sand spreading and traffic control and information preparation. Applicants with heavy equipment experience may qualify for additional responsibilities at an increased wage. When our guests arrive, you will be directing traffic, answering any questions, and making sure the first impression of Keystone is positive, energetic, and fun.

We are looking for team members who can keep their cool during busy mornings, are able to meet a high standard of presentation including having a clean uniform every day, and who want to learn more about the resort and base area operations business in preparation for a potential career in the hospitality market.

Other job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct pedestrian and traffic control of hundreds of vehicles and people entering and exiting the resort during high volume business periods.
• Assist in facilitating well organized plans, which assure a quality arrival and departure experience for guests and staff.
• Conducts parking courtesy calls, assisting guests with vehicle lock outs and communicating expectation to guests regarding conduct in parking lots and resort common areas. Assist Keystone Emergency Services parking enforcement by monitoring parking violations and reporting violations for potential ticketing, immobilization or towing.
• Performs foot patrols and vehicle patrols through all Mountain Base area parking lots and reports on unsafe conditions and security issues.
• Assists investigations when directed concerning accidents, employee, and/or Security Incidents on property.

• Applicants must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• At least 2 years hospitality guest service experience preferably in a resort setting- preferred
• Must be able to maintain control and rational demeanor in emotionally charged situations involving guests and/or employees.
• Knowledge and experience with Traffic Control procedures - preferred
• Knowledge of some security processes - preferred
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours and work in inclement weather
• Strong communication skills, able to work with a diversity of staff and guests
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekend and holidays
