Under appropriate direction
and supervision by a physician assistant supervisor, can be used to augment the
psychiatrist data gathering abilities to assist the psychiatrist in reaching
decisions and instituting treatment plans for the patients of Behavioral Health
Services. The primary purpose of this
position is; provide general preventative care and diagnosis and treatment of
episodic, short-term and stable chronic health problems. Graduation
from an accredited Physicians' Assistant Program Must meet state criteria for
recertification; Certification in Basic
Life Support (BLS) required, must be completed prior to end of orientation. CME Requirement: 100 Hours every two (2) years. Re-certification examination every six (6)

Nurse Practitioner Program. Master of
Science Degree in Nursing. Certificate
as Nurse Practitioner Ideally a minimum of two
(2) years experience in a Family Practice setting. Clinical and technical expertise, ability to
teach / instruct, consulting; counseling in individual, family and group
modalities; research, committed to quality care, astute to patient
conditions and reactions and needs of patients and families, empathy and
understanding, communication skills, policy and procedure development, clerical
accuracy. Licensed to practice nursing
in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania . Must maintain BLS certification and must be
completed prior to end of orientation period.
