Overview
A Price Chopper Central Fill Pharmacy Clerk is highly motivated to perform in a high paced environment that requires multitasking and interaction with all members of the Pharmacy Team. This teammate will implement all Price Chopper 6-Star Service standards. The Central Fill Pharmacy Clerk will focus on retrieving and counting medications, and maintaining the pharmacy work environment, preparing orders and performing safety checks before shipment. A Central Fill Pharmacy Clerk is a person willing to progress to the position of Pharmacy Technician. All pharmacy activities are carried out under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Responsibilities
* Accurately fill prescription orders in a high paced environment
* Print and prepare prescription orders for shipment accurately with short deadlines
* Notify pharmacists of patient or prescriber questions which require pharmacist intervention, judgment and knowledge according to pharmacy law
* Check in, sticker and shelve the daily drug delivery order
* Verify the drug delivery order on invoices
* Maintain appearance of the pharmacy by performing tasks such as vacuuming, emptying trash, ensuring accurate signage etc.
* Identify, retrieve from stock and count medications accurately
* Adhere to drug dispensing procedures quickly and efficiently with short deadlines
* Receive pharmacy phone calls, answer inquiries
* Perform maintenance of ScriptPro automated dispensing system
* Perform Return to Stock maintenance and inventory cycle counts accurately
* Understand that certain duties can only be performed by the pharmacist
* Other duties may be assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requirements:
* At least 18 years of age
* High School diploma or GED
* Superior customer service skills
* Friendly, helpful and outstanding attitude
* Multitasking ability
* High level efficiency and productivity
* Problem solving ability
* Organizational skills
* Knowledge of and basic skills with Windows based computers
* The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
* The ability to communicate with the pharmacy team in a professional manner
