PURPOSE
Manages and coordinates patient care; directs and supervises functions and activities, maintains a smooth workflow; interprets policies, procedures, standards, and regulations as appropriate. Performs duties in any nursing capacity as needed in assigned clinical area(s). Perform other duties as assigned by Director to accomplish overall department and hospital objectives; Participates in key service area strategic planning and related implementation activities. A role model in fairness, positive and cooperative attitude and exemplifies the mission of the hospital.
MINIMUM EDUCATION / CREDENTIALS / LICENSE REQUIRED:
* Current RN licensure from Colorado or any state in the NLC
* Current BLS or obtained within 3 months of hire; ACLS preferred (ACLS & PALS required if working in Post Anesthesia).
* BSN required, Masters preferred.
* Specialty certification preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical specialty
Requirements specific to the ICU:
Minimum 1 year experience in a nursing leadership role including experience with performance review, coaching and mentoring
