Job Summary:
Provides basic first aid care to injured or ill fans attending various events at all major venues in Cleveland to include Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena.
Responsibilities:
* Transports injured or ill fans from seat, concourse or venue proper to care center.
* Performs primary assessment of patient and determines appropriate independent or collaborative response.
* Administers basic first aid care to patients at care center.
* Collaborates and communicates with other medical personnel on-site or at hospital through to patient disposition.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education:
* Completion of an accredited Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) training program.
Certifications:
* Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) in the current State required.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Complexity of Work:
* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
* One year as functioning EMT-A. Firefighter experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to provide hands-on medical care for patients (fans) at Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena.
Personal Protective Equipment:
* Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
