JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Catering Coordinator
Reports to: Catering Manager
Department: Catering
Work Status: Part-Time/Full-Time; Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Handles all catering inquiries and orders in an effective and efficient manner and ensures client/customer is completely satisfied by confirming that Luna Grill standards are being met. This position will assist with catering deliveries and events as needed.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Answers incoming catering inquiries/orders from clients via the catering phone and provides exceptional customer service throughout the entire process.
  • Inputs catering orders accurately into the computer system.
  • Follows up with restaurants to confirm all orders.
  • Maintains client satisfaction by investigating and resolving complaints about food quality and/or service in a timely and effective fashion.
  • Assists with following up with clients to ensure that their experience was in accordance with Luna Grill standards.
  • Assists with planning, organizing and coordinating all aspects of events utilizing catering services.
  • Coordinates and assists with loading, set up and breakdown of equipment for catering events.
  • Assists with equipment maintenance and inventory.
  • Assists with vehicle maintenance coordination.
  • Handles office support duties; such as filing, phones and emails.
  • Assists with restaurant delivery catering orders and full service catering events as needed.
  • Assists with various catering sales and marketing activities as needed.
  • Assists Catering Manager and Director of Catering and Marketing as needed.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must represent Luna Grill’s 12 Characteristics as outline in the Team Member Handbook. Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of Luna Grill products is strongly preferred, but will be willing to train the right candidate (candidate would be required to work/train at one of the restaurants). Ability to resolve product and/or service issues in a calm, patient and effective manner. Must be able to drive and deliver caterings as needed. This would require reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and ability to provide MVR report. Position requires the ability to use Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word and Excel). Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Bi-lingual skills a plus. Must possess basic math skills. Must be able to sit, bend, stoop, reach and work in a standing position for long periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Must have a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays. Knowledge of local roads and highways a plus. Sales experience a plus but not required

Education/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Must be able to sit for extended periods at a time at a desk or in meetings with prolonged and repetitive use of a computer. Position requires ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems .

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lighted environment. Must be able to work in an environment with moderate noise level and ability to effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
