What does a Visiting Angel do?

As a non-medical, living assistance service, care for our clients will range from simple companionship that may include ADL’s, i.e., light housekeeping, meal preparation or errands for clients in need of a little assistance or for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s. We also handle more complex cases when care is needed for a Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, cancer, or post-operative client in which bathing, incontinence care, personal hygiene and complex transferring may be involved. We also provide respite care when needed.

What does an Angel do?
As a non-medical, living assistance service, care for our clients will include some of the following Activities of Daily Living:

• Meal preparation
• Errands and Client Transportation (ie grocery shopping, hair/nail appointments, doctor appointments)
• Assistance in Hygiene
• Assistance in Dressing
• Bathing/Showering
• Medication Reminders
• Hospice Support
• Companionship
• Respite for Family Caregivers

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid photo identification, U.S. Citizen or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit
• Must be willing and able to commute up to 25 – 30 miles
• Must clear Live Scan Fingerprinting, Criminal Background check, Drug test and TB test
• Ability to learn and perform required duties specific to each assigned client
• Must have satisfactory verbal and written English skills
