Full Time cook/pizzaiola. SI, NY - Full-time / Part-time

Specializing in Coal Fired and Wood Fired pizza, Millie's Old World Meatballs and Pizza is looking for a Full Time cook/pizzaiola.

Qualifications :

• Must have prior experience working as a cook / pizzioloa
• Must have the ability to multi-task and react to a variety of situations at one time
• Must be flexible; able to work a rotating schedule; nights/weekends and/or holidays are a must

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing foods; wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables; weigh, measure and mix ingredients
• Ensuring products are prepared with the consistent, high quality outcome by following Millie's core recipes & cooking techniques.
• Familiarizing self with products in inventory and seeking to reduce waste by working across the kitchen to find ways to utilize shrink

What will set you apart from other candidates?

• Experience working in a multi-faceted food service facility, including restaurant, Pizzeria which housed a Wood fire / coal fire ovens, hotel, Bakery's, etc.
• Experience working with wood fire and/or coal fire ovens
• Experience bread baker
• Bi-lingual (Spanish or Italian) is a plus

Work environment :

• Work involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, including bending and reaching
• Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 5 - 60 pounds
• Task will be performed using and in the proximity of coolers, ovens , stoves , deep fryers , and other hot equipment; cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment
• Required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours
