Job Summary:


· Guides children in a positive manner displaying friendly, affectionate, enthusiast and caring behaviors.



· Interacts with children on the playground/classroom taking part in activities that include bending, stooping, jumping and other physical activities as indicated under the physical requirements section.



· Works to prevent injuries and accidents; follows all procedures related to injuries and accidents if one should occur. Reports child injuries and hazards promptly to the Lead Teacher and Director.



· Provide exceptional customer service to the families and children we serve. This includes maintaining strict confidentiality regarding children and families.



· Respond to all questions and requests in friendly and timely manner. Reports suspected child abuse or neglect to local child protective agency or child abuse hotline as mandated by state law.



· Required to attend all staff training sessions, meetings and programs sponsored by the School, this is mandatory not optional.



· Responsible for daily cleaning duties which include sweeping, mopping, disposing of trash.



· Organize weekly class schedules; manage class curriculum .


· Sell and increase utilization of the programs.



· Distribute marketing materials through various methods and promote interest using electronic communication.



· Maintain a visible presence at drop off and pick up time to help discuss electives with parents.



· Required to create weekly schedule of classes and submit to supervisor as requested.



· Conduct demonstration classes at schools to generate interest with children/families; follow-up with families and Center Directors.



· Manage and facilitate elective classes at assigned school within licensing and LCG supervision guidelines.



· Attend Parent Teacher Conferences, Parent Events or Parent’s Nights Out, etc. when offered.

·
Education:
Must meet state licensing requirements for education.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

Degree in early childhood education preferred.

Experience:

At least (2) years of experience in a licensed childcare center

Certification/Licensure:

· Must meet state licensing requirements.


· CDA preferred


Skills & Abilities (i.e. technical, organizations, knowledge, etc.):


· Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job.


· Excellent customer service and follow-up skills with both internal and external customers.


· Must have knowledge and understanding of all current state and local regulations.


· Effective communication skills, written,verbal and interpersonal.



Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines


· Ability to learn/train through WebEx and/or E-Learning.


· Ability to manage curriculum for multiple schools.


· Works well with young children.


· Ability to sell and drive the programs.
