Bartender – Bull City Hospitality at The Bullpen

We are partnered with Heavenly Buffaloes for the best wings in Durham, Music Maker Relief Foundation for amazing live blues/gospel/jazz music weekly. We aim to be your new favorite local spot!
We are seeking experienced part-time Bartenders to work at The Bullpen. This position is part-time with about 15-30 hours per week. As a Bartender, you will be serving craft beer and wine and acting as a food runner. The pay rate is $7.25 an hour plus tips.
As a Bartender, you will…
- Serve craft beer and wine to Bullpen guests
- Serve food to guests
- Ask anyone who appears to be 40 years of age or younger for their identification card
- Maintain current knowledge of menu and prices
- Maintain knowledge of the Point of Sale System
- Accurately complete all transactions (cash and non-cash) and return accurate change to guests
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associates
- Perform as a team member and assist fellow associates to ensure a smooth operation
- Greet guests positively, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Reports all hazards or accidents immediately
Qualifications
- Previous bartending, serving, or restaurant experience
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
