Welder I (Entry Level) - Full-time

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Welder I (Entry Level) in Milan, OH with our partner, an engineering and plant construction company for clients in the metals industry.

Job Description

• Performs welding processes on aluminum, steel and other metal parts using welding metals and metal alloys. 
• Welds parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. 
• Under general supervision, uses hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to weld together metal components (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes).
• Works from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.
• Builds up worn and/or defected surfaces.
• Other work may be assigned at management’s discretion.

Certifications

• Crane/Forklift*
• Welding*

*In house training provided to obtain certifications

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s license
• High School Diploma or GED

Additional Information

• Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, M - F
• This is a 5+ month temp to hire position
