Laborer - Full-time

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently offering a Laborer position in Cortland, OH with our partner, an engineering and plant construction company for clients in the metals industry.

Job Description

Performs a variety of physical tasks in support of plant operations such as:

• shoveling
• sweeping
• cleaning of equipment and parts
• media blasting
• finishing
• painting
• general ground maintenance
• lifting and moving heavy objects
• cleaning and preparing job sites
• collecting and delivering tools and equipment
• moving office furniture
• may be required to drive company’s vehicle for short distance trips
• use of hand tools, power tools, micrometer and cranes
• assembly and disassembly of mechanical machinery
• other work may be assigned at Management’s direction

Certifications

• In house training provided for required certifications

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver License
• MUST be mechanically inclined
• Ability to read blueprints a plus

• Ear Plugs
• Other safety equipment may be required depending on assignment and type of work performed

Additional Information

• Hours are 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, M - F
• This is an 11+ month temp to hire position
