Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Yard / Warehouse Worker for a contract opportunity in Apex , NC with our partner, Contractor supply chain stocking company that specializes in cabinetry & flooring, doors & windows, lumber, drywall & hardware products.
As a Yard / Warehouse Worker, you will...
- Assist driver in unloading materials safely at job sites
- Act as ‘spotter’ in assisting driver while reversing or navigating in congested areas
- Assist driver in housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness of truck
- Secure load and/or assists driver in securing loads before delivery.
- Evaluate job site for hazards before making delivery.
- Perform all job duties adhering to company policies and procedures
- Communicate with customer to ensure good customer service
- Open communication with all levels regarding location challenges, solutions and business impacts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse/material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs repetitively
- Good oral communication skills.
- Spend long amounts of time stooping, reaching, bending, climbing, standing or walking
