Kings Island Entertainment Positions- Winterfest

Scenic Shop Crew $11
We are seeking individuals with carpentry experience to build and install scenic décor elements for our upcoming Winterfest event. Theatrical experience is preferred.

Décor Team $11
The décor team members are responsible for creating arrangements for garland and tress based on designs that will be provided. Team members also assemble décor pieces, Christmas trees and add lights to existing décor.

Logistics Crew $10.50
The logistic crew transports equipment, tools and décor to the installation crews throughout the park. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be willing to be trained to operate a forklift, high reach (AWP) and box truck. Warehouse experience is preferred.

Installation Technicians $9
The technicians will be responsible for installing Christmas lights on trees, shrubbery and landscaping throughout the park. Applicants must be able to work on ladders up to 14 feet as well as lifts.

Architectural Lighting Technician $12
Lighting technicians work with contractors to install, test and operate a complex networked architectural lighting system throughout the park. Applicants must have knowledge in DMX over network protocols, intelligent lighting systems and lighting control systems.

Installation Crew $9
The installation crew installs lighting, audio, scenic and décor elements throughout the park. Applicants should have professional or college level experience in automated lighting, live audio or theatrical scenery.

Staffing Coordinators $9
The staffing coordinators work with the Human Resources department and the Entertainment department to facilitate recruiting programs, track and monitor all paperwork generated through the interview and auditions process as well as overseeing the orientation and training of associates.

Entertainment Show Staff
Kings Island is looking for Technicians, Artisans, Vocalists, Dancers, Actors, Theater Attendants, Peanuts characters and ushers for various shows and midway entertainment.
Rehearsals begin in late October and will be scheduled weekends evenings and weekends through November 22. Performance dates are November 24-26, December 1-3, December 8-10, December 15-23 and December 26-30.
All applicants must be at least 16 years of age and meet Kings Island's Appearance Standards.

Lighting Technician $11
Lighting Technicians install and operate complex lighting rigs at one of the Kings Island theater venues. Applicants need experience with intelligent lighting, moving light consoles and DMX lighting systems.

Audio Engineer $11
Audio engineers operate audio systems at the performance venues. Engineers also mix live vocal microphones and troubleshoot live audio systems. Experience with wireless microphones is required. A musical or vocal background is preferred.

Backstage Technician $9
Backstage Technicians execute scene changes as well as handling props during the performances. Some theatrical experience is required.

Spotlight Operator $9.50
The spotlight operator will operate and follow spotlight during performances as well as assist the show lighting technician with lighting rig and maintenance and upkeep during the run.

Fly Technician $10.50
The Fly Technician executes scenic changes using a double purchase line set at the Kings Island Theater. Applicants must be knowledgeable in the safe operation of overhead counterweighted scenery systems.

Peanuts Character $8.50 (Audition Required)
The Peanuts characters meet, greet and entertain guests at various locations throughout the park. Applicants for these positions should have good agility skills and be comfortable in confined environments. The height requirements for these positions are 4'9" to 5'2".

Dancers $12.75 (Audition Required)
We are seeking trained dancers for the cast of "Tinker's Toy Factory", a live song and dance style show. If interested, applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to ki.audition@visitkingsisland.com.

Vocalists $13.75 (Audition Required)
We are seeking various styles of vocalists for numerous shows throughout the park. We are also casting a 5-performer a Cappella group. We are interested in seeing individuals as well as established groups for the casting of this show. Actors $11.75 (Audition Required)
We will be casting a variety of actors of all ages to play various roles throughout the park. Applicants should be comfortable memorizing scripted material as well as displaying strong improv skill.
Roles to be cast include: Scrooge, Toy Soldier, Candy Cain, Gingerbread man, Sugar Plum Fairy, Ice Princess, Christmas Carol, Jingle Bell, a trio of elves (Holly, Jolly and Lolly) and many others throughout the park. Attendants $8.25
Attendants will meet, greet and answer questions for guests at various locations and attractions throughout the park. Applicants should be outgoing and be comfortable in large groups of people.

Ushers $8.25
Ushers will assist guests in a timely and safe entrance and exit of our facilities as well as assisting in finding available seating at our shows. Applicants should be outgoing and be comfortable talking in front of large groups.

Make-Up Crew $9.65
The make-up crew will be responsible for applying special make-up to actors throughout the park. Applicants should be familiar with various make-up techniques including air brush and prosthetics.

Craft Leaders $10.13
Craft leaders will instruct families in holiday craft making sessions, create examples and assist younger guests. A background in elementary level art instruction is ideal.
