Job description
This role is responsible for correctly, safely and efficiently packaging and warehousing salt products for a salt manufacturing and packaging facility.
Principal accountabilities include:
* Operation of packaging and related equipment.
* Operation of forklifts and computerized warehouse management system.
* Miscellaneous job duties that may include but are not limited to product quality testing, minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, operating bin discharge and reclaim equipment, housekeeping tasks, repalletizing/disposal of distressed product.
Required:
* Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
* Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
* Must be able to performphysical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/closevalves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces
* Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds
* Must be able to work underspecial work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
* Ability to work in elevated areas
* Must be able to operatemachinery
* Must be able to operate heavyequipment
* Must be able to read/write English
* High School diploma or Equivalent
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to work overtime
* Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends ordifferent shifts
Preferred:
* Prior experience in production related work
* Forklift certified
* One year experience in production or plant environment
