Security Officer

For the remainder of the 2017 season, we are interviewing for the Event Staff (Security) Metal Detection Screener & Crowd Control position. Metal Detection/Crowd Control Operators who are hired and in good standing will be considered for the Security Officer positions that we will have open at the start of 2018.

Job Summary: To proactively protect and serve the guests and employees while safeguarding company property and assets. To assist guests and employees with questions and problems, while enforcing park policies. To screen guests via metal detection at the front gate with special emphasis on guest interaction.

• 18 years old or +
• Valid Driver's License
• Patrol park property on foot and or by vehicle.
• Outgoing and friendly personality.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Capable of working in outdoor weather conditions - regularly exposed to direct sunlight, wet humid conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat.
• Available to work flexible hours, at night weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle moderate levels of stress related to high work load.
• Capable of using and monitoring portable radio, computers and phone.
• Must be professional, self-motivated and have an enthusiastic attitude.
• Must be able to work around a metal detector.
• Must be able to stand / walk up to 8 hours at a time and as many as 12 hours a day.
• Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day over various surfaces.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. consistently.
• Adhere to the park standards of appearance and strive to maintain a safe environment.
