Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising day-to-day operation of the front office, helping the Hotel Operations Manager with hiring, training, scheduling, motivating employees, enforcing company policies and grooming standards, performance evaluations of staff, help with managing payroll and other administrative tasks. Ensures the Front Office and lobby areas are maintained, cleaned and inspected every shift.  Front Desk Supervisor may be required to perform all duties of the front desk, bell staff, valet and/or concierge. Periodically attends numerous resort wide meetings in order to communicate relevant information back to the department. This is a working supervisory position. Other duties may be assigned.

Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English fluently.  Must have the following:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently
  • High school diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - Preferred
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License - Required
  • experience working for Vail Resorts lodging properties - Preferred
  • At least 1 year experience in the hotel/hospitality industry - Required
  • Supervisory experience - Preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Existing knowledge of LMS and PeoplSoft - Preferred
  • Must have good communication skills and enjoy working with the public
  • Familiarity with Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts services, mountain layout, and activities - Preferred
  • Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours at a time
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Flexible schedule required including weekends and holidays
  • Resume and in person interview required
