Electrical Maintenance Mechanic

Company in the Cressona area is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic. Training on 1st shift at $18.00/hr and moving to 2nd shift at $18.50/hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting
• Preforms preventative maintenance
• Assisting with installation of new or old machinery/equipment
• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment such as forklifts, hand jacks, bearings, gear boxes, drives, conveyors, electric motors, etc.
• Carpentry skills, general building maintenance
• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment
• Performs grounds keeping tasks, such as: snow removal
• Communicates status of repairs to Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Lead
• Ensures a clean and safe work area

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills
• Electrical troubleshooting skills
• Basic machine shop and welding
• Good communication skills
• Must have good organizational skills
• Must have an excellent attendance record
• Ability to climb and work at high elevations
• Must have a valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements

• Must occasionally lift and or move up to 60 lbs.
• Sit, stand, stoop, reach above shoulder height, climb or balance, crouch or crawl

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes of airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, higher levels of noise are marked by signs.
