About this job

Hiring a responsible, experienced individual for assisting/overseeing the kitchen and preparation of food and food service workers.

  • Assists in supervision and instruction of workers
  • Prepares or assists in preparation and cooking of poultry, soups, vegetables, desserts, salads, etc.
  • Assists in the cleaning of kitchen area and general maintenance of equipment and inventory control.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Overtime available but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Good knowledge of principles and experience in quantity cooking. Good knowledge of food service sanitation standards, personal hygiene and safety.
