Position Summary:
Provides direct and indirect nursing patient care as assigned. Aids and assists the Cardiologist in the performance of complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including, but not limited to, diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, electrophysiology studies/ablations, PPM/AICD implants and PFO/ASD closure procedures. Act as a resource and provide clinical support to Cardiovascular Technologists and other non-licensed unit personnel as assigned. Work a variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be on call in a rotating schedule and be able to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes of notification.
Education Requirements:
* Associates Degree from an accredited School of Nursing -- REQUIRED
* Bachelor's Degree -- PREFERRED
Work Experience:
* 1 year ED/Critical Care experience -- REQUIRED
* 1+ year(s) Cath Lab experience-- PREFERRED
* EP experience -- PREFERRED
License/Certifications:
* Current Colorado RN License
* BLS & ACLS -- REQUIRED
* CCRN or RCIS -- PREFERRED
Physical Requirements:
* Light work - (Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs frequently)
