Job Summary:

Lead a cross functional team of engineers in the design, development, implementation, testing and analysis of technical products supporting complex RF sensor systems. The team has responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance of the system.

Major Responsibilities/Activities Statements:

* Oversee an integrated product team (including Mechanical, Digital, FPGA, Analog, and RF engineers) in the hardware development and testing of various tactical RF sensors and subsystems.

* Direct team into exploration of new problem solution areas with novel concepts and approaches, guiding scope definition and prioritizing problems for investigation.

* Plan and lead requirements analysis, system synthesis and conceptualization, design, integration, and requirements verification activities in a design-to-cost environment

* Primary point-of-contact with various technical customer suppliers and sub-contractors, with expectation of acting independently on technical matters.

* Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.

* Perform project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities for cost and schedule

* Communicate needs/requirements/status to management and other engineering disciplines.

* Coordinate, lead and manage peer reviews, both internal and external PDRs and CDRs, along with any other required design reviews.

* Capable of performing Chief Engineering duties on complex electronic sensor systems

* Participate in risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects

* Participate in technical and cost proposal writing teams providing technical solutions, development plans, technical write-ups, cost and schedule estimates and the documentation of the basis of estimate

* Ensure that company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc. are followed.

* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Required Experience:

* A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in electrical hardware design, analysis, integration and test.

* A minimum of 8 years in-depth system level or circuit level design experience in either the Analog, RF, or Digital disciplines

* A minimum of 5 years experience in leading a technical product development team

* DOD design and development experience

* Control account management experience

* Design for Test, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, and/or Design to Cost experience

Required Skills:

* Evidence of excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to generate and present technical packages to upper level management, subject matter experts, and customers for briefings and reviews

* Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.

* Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success

* Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Project

* Excellent management skills

* The ability to work independently and with little direction

Other Requirements:

* U.S. Citizenship

* Existing DoD clearance with current 5 year update

* Ability to obtain any additional clearances as required

* Must be capable of maintaining a TS SSBI level clearance

Desired:

* System level or circuit level design experience on products designed for repetitive production

* Matlab or other programming language

* Advanced Engineering Degree

Educational Requirements: Physical Requirements:

* BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

* Ability to travel up to 20%.
