Job Description:

3M is seeking a Pipe Fitter/Plumber for the Maintenance Group located in Hutchinson, MN. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Pipe Fitter/Plumber will perform Pipe Fitting & Plumbing. Repair, Modification, PM's, Fabrication & Installation to Facility & Production equipment. Troubleshoot & solve Plumbing / Pipe Fitting equipment problems.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Maintain the reliability of the plant and production equipment

* Work on High/Low pressure steam, compressed air, gas, water and process/solvent piping

* Work from prints & determine supplies needed

This position will require:

* Weekend work

* Working overtime

* Working on holidays as needed

* Short notice shift coverage

* Working 1st shift (7:00 AM -- 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday)

* Physical demands including working from heights on ladders, lifts, and roofs; lifting up to 50 lbs. and using Pipe Wrenches to apply 200 lbs. of force

Basic Qualifications:

* Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher

* Possess a Journeyman's License

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Industrial/Commercial Environments

* Skills include use of a PC for daily documentation
