Unit Name:  St. Louis Baseball

Reports to:  Bar Manager

Union/Non-Union:  Non-Union

Pay Range:   TBD

Shift/Hours Required:  All home baseball games

Age Requirement (if applic):  21 years old

 

Position Summary

Assists management in carrying out daily operations of the bar department, in accordance with Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Basic knowledge of a bar operation (types of liquor and brands, how to mix drinks)
  • Computer literate (Data entry, creating and utilizing reports)
  • Cash handling experience
  • Open availability (late nights on game days, open for prep days before homestands)
  • Takes initiative and responsibility to complete task (Able to make decisions)
  • Able to address customer complaints and employee issues
  • Leadership skills (able to create a vision and set goals and articulate it)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Inventory control experience
  • Able to complete sanitation and alcohol service trainings
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Presents themselves in a professional manner (dress and speech) Maintains good personal hygiene in a clean and complete uniform
  • Assists management in ordering product
  • Assists management in interviewing and selection of candidates for bartender/barback positions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

 

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months- 1 year prior bartending & supervisory experience required.
  • Previous experience with Excel or similar database management computer system required
  • High school education or GED required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, and adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards
  • Must be dependable and a self-starter; ability to work independently
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to delegate and coach others
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate job procedures and give clear concise instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret deliveries and purchases
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow job procedures and manager instructions

.Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and stock up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for entire length of shift
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and reaching, during entire length of shift

Environmental Working Conditions:

  • Bar environment- noise level may be moderate to high during busy times
  • Exposed to outdoors and variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold depending on the season
