Senior Manager of Systems

Job Advert The primary function of the Information Technology department is to deliver technology solutions, policies and programs to the business in support of Claire's objectives. This will be achieved through the delivery of IT strategy; incorporating supporting department objectives and the application of defined Claire's IT best practices.

Our Information Technology department is looking for a results-driven Senior Systems Manager. The Senior Systems Manager provides support for current retail POS and inventory management systems while planning and executing the installation of new software and configuration changes. This position requires extensive retail and POS experience with the ability to lead and develop professional IT Analysts.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and develop a team of Store Support Analysts, Systems Analyst and Support Engineers and create a high performing culture.

* Develop and manage strong relationships as well as work with business clients, internal IT and external vendors to define, design, develop and implement Retail Store solutions

* Define business requirements, business processes improvements, issues and data challenges

* Manage all aspects of assigned projects through effective team management as well as working independently

* Define and implement change management, quality assurance and risk management to improve the store and customer experience

* Work cross functionally with partners (IT, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Field Leadership, etc.) to work collaboratively through the life span of a project

* Participate and lead the vendor selection process in partnership with cross-functional groups, stakeholders and executives.

* Directly contribute to the long-term strategy in responsible areas and ensure effective execution

* Utilize available data and research to influence decision making and strategy

* Plan, prepare, facilitate and document testing activities to ensure completeness and correctness of delivered solutions

* Deliver concise, informative and well-organized presentations

* Manage software upgrades to retail systems by creating test plans, test scripts, and testing results

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree required

* 8+ years of demonstrable experience in managing complex projects in a fast paced culture while complying with budgets

* 5+ years of experience of system design, implementation and support

* 5+ years of Retail store experience and POS (Point of Service) experience

* Experience in leading complex retail related projects with the ability to prioritize and manage while ensuring budgetary compliance

* Strong knowledge of POS (Point of Service) implementations

* Omni-channel process, credit card payment processing and software vendor management experience a must

* Replenishment/Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Retail Accounting/Finance a plus.

* Ability to lead and develop a team with multiple skills levels and experience

* Must be technologically savvy with strong analytical skills

* Strong project management skills with superior attention to detail

* Strong time management and problem solving skills

* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to get results through formal channels and informal networking

* Outstanding communicator at all levels of the organization, including the ability to grasp and communicate complex problems to management and stakeholders

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills; very strong in one-on-one communications, small and large groups
