Position Title: Refrigeration Technician - Hannaford
Location: New Hampshire
Position Summary:
Service all HVAC-R equipment and systems in a group of assigned stores.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot all HVAC-R problems with minimal supervision.
* Troubleshoot GreenChill HR glycol systems.
* Troubleshoot heat pump s and related glycol loop system.
* Troubleshoot BAS problems and related hardware problems.
* Service all ice machines and perform preventative maintenance.
* Maintain all glycol boiler systems and heat re-claim systems.
* Provide 24 hr. service to a region of stores as a group.
* Work on preventative maintenance program both monthly and by-monthly.
* Accurately fill in PM reports and turn in to Specialists in a timely manner.
* Respond to emergency calls during regular working hours.
* Fine tune equipment and controls to optimize energy savings.
* Help train retail associates in emergency response procedures for gas fired equipment.
* Help train retail associates in BAS interrogation of refrigeration alarms.
* Plan daily work activities and communicate with refrigeration dispatchers.
* Provide documentation for EPA compliance records.
* Accurately report refrigerant losses through the COOK reporting system.
* Order repair parts and maintain adequate supply of refrigerant in assigned stores.
* Follow up on service work for air filter contracts and condenser cleaning contracts.
* Assist Refrigeration Specialist with winterizations of vacant real-estate properties.
* Accurately report service work time in COOK reporting system.
* Maintain company van and inventory.
* Help Refrigeration Specialist reduce refrigerant losses and control expenses.
* Adhere to all safety programs including ladder safety, fall protection, LOTO and NFPA70E.
* Responsible for refrigerant inventory for assigned stores.
* Responsible for servicing assigned stores from 7:00am to 5:00 pm.
* Responsible for maintaining a complete MSDS book for all chemicals used and stored on service van.
* Long hours and some travel required.
* 24 hr. on call duties for 7 day intervals.
RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
* High school diploma.
* 2 year trade school certificate in HVAC-R courses or equivalent field experience.
* EPA certified.
* Gas fired licenses up to large equipment certification, where required.
* Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Constantly working to prevent refrigerant losses
* Stay current with all reports through COOK, time cards and PM sheets
* Work on 480V circuits and equipment
Skills and Abilities:
* Self-motivated.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication skills.
