Worlds of Fun is looking for experienced Food & Beverage Supervisors 18 years of age and older. From the catered picnic with co-workers and family to the funnel cake at the end of the day... food is an important part of the amusement park experience.

Based on experience, Food & Beverage leaders may be given responsibility for a single location or multiple locations within the park. You'll have the opportunity to mold and develop the next generation of leaders while ensuring our guests have a Best Day Experience every visit. Essential Job Functions

  • Trains, directs, evaluates and coaches staff with appropriate documentation. Conducts counseling sessions as needed.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints from park guests and associates. Responds to emergency situations. Gives verbal direction and assistance to guests.
  • Uses clear and concise lines of communication between management, associates and other divisions. Attends leadership meetings and communicates information to counterparts.
  • Works with Staffing Supervisors to ensure staffing needs of assigned locations are met and in compliance with Minor Labor Laws. Contacts and follows-up with associates who walk out or stop reporting.
  • Ensures team members are trained in all facets of the operation, such as service procedure, production flow, equipment usage and cleaning. Provides associates with necessary information and tools to do their jobs effectively. Ensures that all work, storage and service areas are cleaned and meet local and state sanitation guidelines. Understands and complies with all aspects of Health Codes. Follows guidelines for the safe serving of food and beverages.
  • Maintains labor and cost of sales budget requirements by continuously evaluating and adjusting to the business needs. Oversees cash control in the stand and works with Loss Prevention to maintain accurate cash records and decrease register variances. Completes and submits daily inventory paperwork.
  • Evaluates attendance schedules and prepares daily task schedules to ensure efficient operation of the locations. Completes administrative paper work (i.e. time cards, labor reports, evaluations and associate file documents) as required. Ensures compliance with Minor Labor Laws. Creates incentives and utilizes motivational techniques for associates.
  • Moves throughout entire areas of responsibility regularly to maintain awareness of total operation. Learns, understands and demonstrates proficiency in operational tasks, service, production flow, equipment cleaning and usage and menu items.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guests or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outline in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler card from the KCMO Health Department.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
