Worlds of Fun is looking for Food & Beverage Associates 16 years of age and older. From the catered picnic with co-workers and family to the funnel cake at the end of the day... food is an important part of the amusement park experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Takes proper payment and makes change for food and beverage items using a cash register. Operates cash register to correctly total the price and tax on food and beverage purchases. Completes cash handling and department paperwork.
  • Takes and fills food and beverage orders from guests. Cooks and prepares food items, notifies kitchen personnel of shortages or special orders.
  • Cleans and sanitizes assigned location, equipment and utensils. Squeegees floors, wipes off counters, sweeps, empties trash and completes other general cleaning duties. Removes plates, cups, trash, silverware and anything else left at guest tables.
  • Maintains proper stock levels for all serving, kitchen, dining and condiment areas. Alerts Team Lead to supply shortages.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guests or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outline in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler card from the KCMO Health Department.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
