Your primary goal is to build lifelong guests. As a host, you are the first and last impression our guests have of their dining experience. You are responsible for providing exceptional service with sincere, knowledgeable, and genuine hospitality. Going above and beyond to make our guests feel comfortable and welcome is the goal.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Warmly and graciously greeting all guests upon arrival and thanking them upon their exit of our restaurant.
* When possible, opening the front door for guests entering or exiting the restaurant.
* Answering the phone, providing basic restaurant information, taking carryout orders and utilizing Open Table to take reservations, etc.
* Maintaining a waitlist and providing a proper quote to our guests along with utilizing our pager system.
* Accommodating special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
* Seat guests based on preferences and balancing the number of guests in each server’s section.
* Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Prior to seating a guest inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
* Relay special notes and requests to servers and bus persons as needed.
* Performing side work at the start, throughout and end of each shift as required.
* Maintaining clean a host area.
* Monitoring and observe guest’s dining experience. Responding promptly and courteously to any requests.
* Alert management to any guest concerns, repair/maintenance issues, or safety hazards.
* Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
