Shift/ hours required: 7-9 hours per shift

Position Summary

The Alcohol Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all local, state & federal regulations are followed in relation to the alcohol permit license. Additionally, this role is
responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Delaware North Sportservice at Busch Stadium Alcohol Service Policy and focuses on the associate’s adherence to alcohol service and the ticketed holders’ compliance, in conjunction with local authorities.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures that all alcohol policies/procedures are adhered to on a daily basis, to include servers/ sellers of alcohol:
    • Follows proper ID procedures
    • Follows the portion and per transaction serving limits
    • Monitors visible intoxication, pass-offs & inhibits service to minors 
  • Communicates and works with Cardinal Undercover and/or Security and Base Station regarding any alcohol related issues or incidents
  • Communicates and documents all alcohol related items to management staff and associates in a timely manner
  • Ensures proper signage is displayed where alcoholic beverages are served
  • Performs associate and group member follow-up training each event
  • Answers associate and group member questions regarding proper alcohol service
  • Enforces correct beer pouring
  • Continually moves through facility, assessing alcohol service and observing guests
  • Responds to alcohol-related incidents in a timely manner
  • Enforces cut off times for the sale of alcohol
  • Coordinates alcohol compliance efforts with other supervisory personnel
  • Helps to minimize alcohol incidents
  • Ensure the Alcohol Incident Reports are completed and filed each event
  • Trains, coaches and counsels staff regarding alcohol service and violations
  • Performs other duties as needed

 

 

 

 

 

Education & Experience:

  • Knowledge of relevant local, state and federal alcohol regulations
  • 1 year of alcohol service experience required
  • 1 year of supervisory experience required
  • 2 years of customer service experience required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • TEAM alcohol certification preferred/ Must be able to obtain
  • Previous alcohol management experience, preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work accurately, efficiently and courteously in a high pressure environment
  • Must be able to approach & amicably intervene with intoxicated guest comfortably
  • Ability to maneuver through large crows for entire shift
  • Must be able to comparatively identify valid vs false identification
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Able to react and adapt to unforeseen changes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and to prepare written reports
  • Team-oriented- ability to work effectively with others
  • Excellent organizational skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift

 

Environmental Working Conditions:

  • Exposed to outdoors and variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold depending on the season
