Part-time, Seasonal Commissary Cashier

Job Summary

Illinois Sportservice, located at Guaranteed Rate Field (333 W. 35th Street, Chicago, IL), is looking for people with a strong customer service focus to work as part-time, seasonal Commissary Cashier.    Night games shift starts at 8pm and is 6 hours in lenght.  All candidates subject to a crimminal and drug test as a condition of employment.

Job Responsibiltiy

• Sell change to Sportservice employees.
• Ensure that seat vendors have the correct color vendor card for your commissary.
• Issue product tickets to Seat Vendors using a computerized system.
• Collect all money due for each ticket before releasing the ticket to the vendor.
• Make sure each ticket issued is initialed by the vendor.
• Balance cash to sales on a daily basis.
• Run computerized reports.
• Keep your area locked and secured at all times.
• Always wait for a security escort to and from your location.
• Fill out cashier reports as required.
• Balance ticket sales to cash.
• Count bank before leaving each day.
• Verify deposits and/or banks when working in the cash room.
• Log verified deposits onto a count sheet when working in the cash room.
• Balance the count sheet with the money turned into the cashier.

Minimum Qualications

•  Pleasant and friendly, enjoys working with people.
• Able to work 5-6 hours in a fast paced environment with possible overtime.
• Available for overtime on short notice.
• Capable of following job procedures and Supervisor’s instructions.
• Capable of handling cash efficiently.
• Capable of standing and/or sitting for an extended period of time in one small caged in area inside a vending commissary.  This area is subject to the same weather conditions (extreme cold or heat) as are outside.
• Able to work alone in the vending commissary.
• Capable of lifting 30 lbs. (boxes of change) periodically throughout the shift.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
