Overview
Handles, inspects, sorts, and packs selected pieces of ceramic tile.
ResponsibilitiesRemoves cut or bull nosed tile from conveyor line and inspects for defects.Places defective tile in trash container and places good tile in cardboard shipping container.May assemble cardboard shipping containers and place product labels on these containers.May perform minor functions of other positions for break relief.Follows ISO operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications
0 to 1 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good oral communications skills. Good listening skills. Ability to understand and speak basic English.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may sit, climb or balance, talk or hear. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock or vibration. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures and works in a building with no air conditioning.
