Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Full-time / Part-time

We are currently looking to hire Direct Care Professionals (DSP) in our residential program for developmentally-disabled adults in Nanuet, NY.

We offer Full time, Part time and Per diem.

Responsibilities include:

• Implement program plans for individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities
• Supervise individuals in a residential setting as well as during community activities
• Observe and monitor individuals' progress toward developmental goals and complete daily progress notes
• Administer medication
• Assist with daily living skills, like food preparation and some housekeeping
• Transport individuals to and from medical appointments, family visits and community activities using agency vehicle

Requirements:

The DSP position requires a high school diploma or GED and a clean and valid NYS drivers' license with no more than 2 points. 6 months' experience with the DD community and previous medication certification is preferred.
