3M is seeking a Maintenance Technician Shift Lead for the Patient Warming Business located in Eden Prairie, MN At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Maintenance Technician Shift Lead will be responsible for repairing and maintaining manufacturing machines, providing leadership, and maintaining equipment parts inventory.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Answering and responding to phones calls from Production Leads and/or Operators

* Perform scheduled maintenance work and other preventive maintenance tasks

* Adjust equipment to ensure proper operation

* Uses electrical/electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic system knowledge to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment

* Use PLC system knowledge to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment

* Install new machinery, fixtures, and necessary hookups

* May design and build machine guards and replacement parts, and make minor machine modifications

* Work with Supervisor to identify improvement opportunities

* Use hand tools, basic machine tools, and welders to perform job tasks

* Read electrical/electronic, fluid-power, and mechanical drawings and schematics

* Set example by adhering to company policies

* Enforce all safety rules

* Coordinate communications to and from all team members any pertinent information that assists Maintenance personnel

* When situations arise, prioritize and delegate work to ensure that requests are resolved efficiently

* Ensure scheduled corrective and preventive maintenance for your shift is completed

* Align team towards appropriate resolution that will minimize duration of machine breakdowns when they occur

* Communicate issues to Supervisor as they arise

* Ensure all work is properly documented in the maintenance management system and that critical parts have been requested before the end of the shift

* Use a spare parts inventory control system

* Identify needed repair parts

* Cross train with other Maintenance personnel

* Assist with the training of equipment operators

* Use computer to assist in performing job duties

* Maintain professional, courteous, and tactful relations with all personnel at all times

This position will require:

* Weekend work

* Working overtime

* Working on holidays as needed

* Short notice shift coverage

* Working 3rd shift (Sunday, 9:00 PM -- 5:30 AM and Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM -- 6:30 AM)

* Frequent physical demands including: reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

This position may require:

* Short notice shift coverage

Basic Qualifications:

* Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher

* Associates Degree in Robotics or Mechanical Technician

* Minimum four (4) years of maintenance technician experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with web processes, die cutting and adhesive applications

* Multi Access servo programming

* Experience in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC Programming

* Strong computer skills
