Job Summary

Reporting to the President, In-House Counsel will provide legal support to the DialAmerica enterprise business units in legal areas of Federal, state & local regulatory compliance, Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) regulation and compliance, employment and labor regulation, commercial real estate, leases, subleases, amendments and termination agreements, contracts and general corporate matters.


Essential Duties

  • Ensure that the legal rights of the Company are protected, that its legal obligations and potential exposures are well defined and understood by management and that the Company complies with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Conduct legal research as well as analyze and report on legal and regulatory developments;
  • Monitor and provide advice on relevant legislative and regulatory changes;
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and support for business units including attending management meetings and providing appropriate guidance and advice to management as necessary;
  • Review and advise on legal and vendor contracts;
  • Maintain tracking of all legal matters, violations, etc. ensuring that workflow is efficient and timely;
  • Assist in the handling, management and resolution of litigation and claims, including making recommendations to business units relating to such matters;
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the NJ bar;
  • 5 plus years of prior in-house counsel  experience preferred;
  • High energy individual, who is able to work in a time sensitive environment in a collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders to effectively multi-task, work independently, problem solve, and deliver results within the required time frame;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization;
  • Superior intellect, with the ability to combine analytical reasoning, creativity, and judgment;
  • Able to handle complex matters with multiple initiatives going on simultaneously that require discretion and confidentiality;
  • Business oriented;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with a professional demeanor;
  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues to protect the Company’s interests.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail;
  • Ability to diplomatically, but firmly, advocate legal positions when interacting with business units, while at the same time collaborative working to find business friendly solutions;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

 BASE SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $120,000
