PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and technical support to help Arby's understand current and future business performance. This role will assist the Marketing Analytics team and other cross-functional departments through data-driven, actionable insights, strategies, and recommendations.
 
The Senior Technical Analyst will be responsible for using, writing, and updating various software (e.g. SQL, SSIS, R/Python, Alteryx, etc.) and techniques (e.g. ETL, web scraping, k-means clustering, etc.). Additionally, s/he will assist the Marketing Analysis team in monitoring and measuring test and product performance along with various ad hoc analytical requests.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Data analysis--create repeatable and significant analysis of marketing and sales programs
2. Data acquisition and transformation--obtain data from third parties and transform it into our internal databases
3. Sales analysis - analyze regular and test sales results to understand current performance
4. Data management -- work with IT to develop and maintain databases that support marketing and sales analysis
5. Ad Hoc Analysis--perform complex ad-hoc analysis in a timely manner to facilitate real-time decision making
 
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
Required Minimum: A bachelor's degree is required (preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, math, science, economics, business administration, or marketing)
 
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Required Minimum: 1-3 years of business analyst, developer, or systems analyst
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL
* Experience with web scraping and statistical programming languages (R, Python, etc.).
* Ability to solve problems using data and clearly communicate the results
* Personal integrity, humility, an appreciation for the power of true teamwork, and a sense of humor
* Passion for the restaurant industry and desire to train in our restaurants to learn operations. A strong desire to help shape the future at Arby's
* Minimal travel required
