The ideal host/hostess has a genuine passion for making others feel welcome and special and has a knack for making small talk and is responsible for greeting guests at the door and presenting clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner.

Essential Functions
-Welcomes and seats guests, presents menus and informs them of daily specials
- Ensure complete and exceptional guest satisfaction, striving to exceed expectations
-Maintains waiting list and communicates with guest, takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
-Effectively manages the floor seating assignments
-Consistently scans the dining area, identifying guest who have not been serviced, tracking clean, dirty and occupied tables
-Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area
-Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant
-Interacts with guests as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience and invite back
-Fills to-go orders
-Maintains restrooms throughout shift
-Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently and any other as necessary
-Follow timeliness guidelines set forth by Chubby’s standards.
-Follow effective methods, operations and procedures to assist in running a profitable, successful restaurant. Your work area is like your own business and your opportunities are endless.
-Know the menu and daily food specials-be able to assist guest in making choices in an informative and helpful fashion. Suggest additional menu items to increase sales
-Actively participate in ongoing customer service programs to build sales and rapport in the community.
-Ensure supplies are stocked, stored, and rotated properly
-Abide by all safety regulations and maintain supplies
-Ensure accuracy in to go orders, offer appetizers, specials, deserts
-Maintain positive rapport with all team members and consistently communicate effectively
-Ensuring a superior experience beyond our guests’ expectations
-Greet all guest and team members with a smile
-Perform any and all duties throughout the restaurant as requested, this includes taking out trash, scrubbing floors, dishwashing, bussing tables, stock, and any other miscellaneous duties as needed

Work Environment
Restaurant and sports bar environment. The work station may be drafty due to its location by the door, and the work environment noise level can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.

Physical Demands
-Estimated percentage of daily physical requirements and/or number of pounds that may need to be lifted on the job:
? 100% -Stands during entire shift.
? 75% -Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.
? 20% -Carries 20-lb. highchair about 10 times per shift over medium distances (20-30 feet).
? 50% -- Verbally communicates with guests and phone callers.
-Must be able to read, write and determine wait time based on Chubby's procedures. Must be able to visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables. This position requires frequent washing of hands.
-Must be at least 16 years of age
-Able to use touch-sensitive POS System
-Ability to SMILE continuously and display a positive and professional demeanor in all situations

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, typically working 20-30 hours a week. Frequent evening and weekend shifts are required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Prior experience in a high volume, fast paced, full service restaurant
High school diploma or GED
