Southern Arizona franchisee D&J Holdings is looking to add an Area Coach that has the desire/skill set to grow into a Director of Operations position.

The Area Coach is responsible for the operations of six (6) to seven(7)  restaurants.  Above all, their key role is to monitor and improve customer satisfaction and profitability through efficient operations and to protect the health of customers through food safety and sanitation.

Requirements:

  1.  A minimum of three (3) years multi-unit experience in a fast casual environment
  2. Verifiable positive results from your previous supervisor
  3. Ability to pass a background check

Principle responsibilities:

  1.  Restaurant Visitations, Assessment, Follow-up and training.  Total restaurant visitation activities compromise 80-90% of a AC’s time.  During this time the following should be covered in the restaurant:

*Train and coach restaurant management and crew to resolve any immediate issues

* Work with management team to create an action plan for specific follow-up

* Work with management team on follow-up of an existing action plan

* Investigate and redirect if consistent issues continue to go unresolved

* Provide / create on the job training and development plans

* Follow-up on financials and people processes

  1.  Restaurant store visits

These should be completed on a regular basis.  All feedback should be given to the restaurant manager and/or management team member on duty and the above steps taken to ensure restaurant operations are to the highest possible standard.

  1.  Night Visits

Night visits provide additional time in the restaurants for the purpose of evaluating and improving operations, outside normal working hours.It gives the AC an opportunity to give feedback to the restaurant on the evening shift.These visits should be regular and unannounced as over 50% of our business is during the evening shift.

  • Passion and Team Orientation – Demonstrates a passion for restaurant operations and the Brand.  Shows the ability to consistently contribute to the overall improvement of the team as well as individual team members.  Conducts and presents self with poise, integrity, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of multi-unit food service experience with similar scope of responsibilities preferred – or – equivalent life experience.
  • 3+ years “Hands On” operations expertise or equivalent
 
  • 3+ years of experience in Profit and Loss Statements and can analyze P & L’s for financial trends.

 

Education Requirements:

  • 4-year college Degree preferred.  Equivalent life experience considered.
  • Competency of Microsoft Suite programs with focus on Microsoft Excel.
