Job Description:
The 3M Little Rock Manufacturing Plant is seeking Manufacturing General Helper for the Industrial Mineral Product Division located in Little Rock, AR.
JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to perform general cleanup duties within the department / plant. Fills in for temporary vacancies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The person hired for the position of Manufacturing General Helper will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
* Picks up waste and/or spills throughout plant in departments to which assigned
* Sweeps the floors, picks up waste and / or spillage throughout the department. Empties wheel barrow, plus other related clean-up duties within the department or assigned area. Assists with unit cleanups as necessary
* Maintain clean and orderly conditions in the department and equipment.
* Responsible to train and fill in on all positions within the department including temporary vacancies.
* Operates sub-basement clean-up pump and screw system.
* Operates forklift truck as necessary. Inspects and maintains the equipment, checks the oil and water, belts, etc.
* Comply with Corporate and Plant EHS and Safety Guidelines
* May be assigned to other areas of the plant.
* Notifies department leadership of any machine/equipment problems for correction and repair
This position will require:
* Working overtime
* Weekend work
This position may require:
* Working holidays as needed
* Short notice shift coverage
Basic Qualifications:
* Possess a High School Diploma/GED or Higher
Preferred Qualifications:
* Manufacturing environment experience
Location: Little Rock, AR
Relocation: Is not authorized
