LSG Sky Chefs is best known as one of the world's largest airline catering companies. . LSG Sky Chefs delivers 591 million meals a year and is present at 211 airports in 50 countries. We are seeking those who have the desire and commitment to help us achieve that mission. We presently have positions available for Food Service Workers at our customer service center at Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia. This position is responsible prepping/preparing sandwiches, salads, cold plates, appetizers and hors d'oeuvres and desserts and plating entrees and packing food carts in accordance with airline specifications the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and HACCP food hygiene standards.
Job Qualifications (including but not limited to):
- Good communications skills, able to read specs and take direction from supervisor
- Able to do simple calculations and complete production forms
- Ability to use mobile shelving, carts, and airline catering equipment
- Able to use knives and other kitchen equipment safely and appropriately
Special Conditions:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Constant reaching and bending
- Constant lifting - light to moderate
- Changing temperatures - in and out of coolers
The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-hire drug test, previous employment verification and criminal history check. All positions are full time.
We operate 24 hours a day - 7 days a week.
Weekend and shift work required.
Two shifts available. Start times are at 3:00 and 04:00 a.m.
We pay weekly and provide free parking, meals and uniforms.
Healthcare and other benefits, including 401k, are available after 3 months of employment. We accept applications Monday thru Friday between the hours of 9 to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
