About this job

Porters at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) are responsible for miscellaneous projects in the Food and Beverage Department. Projects can be anything needed to help the Food and Beverage team succeed at delivering a high quality experience to the guest. This is a hands-on position; minimal office work will be needed. Porters report to Front of House Management.

-General handyman duties – pressure washing, building shelving, unclogging drains, repairing broken push carts, etc.
-Completion of preventative maintenance procedures
-Unload trucks and help transport food and beverage containers to multiple locations onsite
-Count inventory as needed
-Completion of other tasks as deemed necessary by Management
-Maintain availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays with frequency

Requirements

Job Requirements
-Comfortable working with a pressure washer, power tools, hand tools, and at height on ladders
-Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks
-Ability to communicate with management and other staff members
-Ability to walk and stand for long shifts

Preferred Skills
-Some higher level of education
-Experience working with a variety tools
-Experience repairing refrigerators and other kitchen equipment
