About this job

Hosts at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) are seasonal employees responsible for warmly greeting guests as they enter the restaurant, seating guests at their table, and efficiently maintaining a wait list during busy periods. Hosts report to Front of House Supervisors.

• Maintain a proper dining experience – welcome guests to restaurant and seat accordingly
• Know when to begin a wait list and properly manage and adjust wait times as necessary
• Assign tables to prepare for next guests, and keep all areas clean and organized
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
• Help run food, bus tables and other task as assigned
• Maintain availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Maintain accurate knowledge of activities, products, and food options offered at facility

Requirements

Job Requirements
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Prior experience in a high volume, casual dining atmosphere preferred

Physical Requirements
* Able to lift, carry, move, and place objects up to 30 pounds
* Able to stand for long periods of time
