Responsibilities

* Applies an advance level of technical skills and broad knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relative to the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes and related electrical systems in the company facilities. Responsible for or assists with the design, modification, installation and preventive/predictive maintenance planning. This includes but is not limited to a specialized focus in two or more of the following areas of maintenance.

* Installs new equipment and assembly lines that involves electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and/or electromechanical machinery and equipment.

* Visibly inspects and tests machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors and other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and repair machines.

* Performs electrical and mechanical installation, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment

* Maintains the facility electrical power distribution system; installs, modifies and repairs new and existing electrical systems and equipment; plans layout, installs or diagnoses malfunctions in wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus, equipment and components.

* Responsible for using power or hand tools in the construction, maintenance and repair of structures, equipment and articles made of wood

* Installs new or repairs electronic equipment; performs modifications o electronic equipment to make it compatible with existing equipment or enhance its functions; rewrites printed circuit (PC) chips and other components on PC board; conducts tests to assure the modification produces desired results, evaluates environments in which equipment is to be installed and how electronic equipment affected.

* Performs routine inspections and periodic tests on critical equipment utilizing various diagnostics tools such as vibration detectors, frequency analyzers, mega meters and ultrasonic analyzers; enters test data into computer system and generates reports and summaries; analyzes graph results to determine whether pattern show that equipment/machine performance is in danger of surpassing specified engineering limits and initiates corrective action; performs predictive diagnostics tests on non-critical equipment as requested.

* Responds to emergencies, work orders and performs scheduled preventative maintenance routines and inspections. Assist team members, vendors or contactors install, upgrade, trouble shoot and/or diagnose equipment and systems.

* Stay informed of and ensures all local, state and federal building codes, applicable OSHA and company guidelines and operating procedures are maintained. Proactively identifies and takes action to correct unsafe working or building conditions and equipment malfunctions and other emergencies, or coordinates with the appropriate department, vendor or contactor to promptly resolve problems and minimize downtime.

* Ensures compliance to all company and regulatory safety and environmental guidelines and practices to include wearing the appropriate safety garments, using the appropriate tools and equipments and exercising the required safety behaviors for the task at hand.

* Determines material requirements and prices, obtains purchase approval and completes requisitions. Determines fast moving or emergency stand-by items to be stocked and establishes stock load and reorder points.

* Prepares maintenance reports for management reporting. Maintains work order or services request logs and other company, regulatory and/or vendor reports that reflects department activity, equipment usage and maintenance history, building inspections, etc; review reports, identifies trends or equipment deficiencies and works with appropriate teams to resolve issues, improve quality, productivity and efficiency.

* Due to work assignments may be required to driver to different work sites. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

* Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of issues

* Ability to perform specific duties with instructions but without direct supervision

* Ability to maintain valid driver's license
