Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under administrative directive as Assistant Center Director, performs a full range of highly responsible administrative policy functions participating with the Center Director and Executive Staff in designating and implementing policy, program and the budget for the entire center. Plans, directs and evaluates the operation of the Residential Units and the component parts including supportive structures, other State agency liaison work, community programs, special programs and the quality assurance. Directs the center's efforts in the development of policies regarding developmental training needs and community placement needs as well as directing the efforts of collaborative programs and services with other State agencies and community providers.

Plans, directs and manages Administrators of assigned areas. Provides guidance in determining operational and program goals and objectives. Serves as full-line supervisor, assigning and reviewing work. Serves as a liaison with other State code agencies and private sector groups directing subordinate staff in dealing with a wide variety of issues and problems regarding other departments. Serves as the Facility Director's representative in interpreting and explaining State, Department and Facility regulations to major program directors, employees, department officials and the general public.

Minimum Requirements:Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four years of college with course work in human or social services. Requires four years of administration experience in Developmental Disabilities or related health care facility. Requires working knowledge of agency programs, rules and regulations, established treatment and development programs for persons with Developmental Disabilities.
