Mechanic-Lawn & Garden/Small Engine - Full-time

Fully equipped, fast-paced outdoor power equipment shop seeking to add a small engine mechanic for long-term employment.

Small Engine Mechanics are responsible for:

*Servicing and repairing various outdoor power equipment in a timely manner. Equipment includes but is not limited to: Lawn Mowers (walk-behind, riding & zero turns), generators, pressure washers, tillers, snowblowers, etc.

*Performing routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts, replacing spark plugs, oil changes, etc.

*Testing and inspecting engines/equipment for malfunctioning parts  

*Repairing or replacing worn, defective, or broken parts & reassembling and reinstalling components 

*Keeping records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts

*Assist customers with loading/unloading equipment

*Assist with workshop activities and equipment deliveries

*Occasional assistance with showroom equipment/stocking

*Minimum 1 years experience in the small engine industry & proficiency in all levels of diagnosis, repair & maintenance of outdoor power equipment. Must be able to provide references.

*Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

*Must be a motivated, self-starter who can work either with a team or independently and use initiative where required.  

*Must have good communication skills, the ability to work independently and/or with others, and take direction from the owner.
